Under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia and in collaboration with the Gyumri Municipality, the “Gyumri: The City of Masters” international crafts festival took place in Gyumri on July 16, 2022.
The festival featured participation from master craftsmen representing various communities of Armenia and CIS countries, showcasing their artistic works and conducting masterclasses.
Artisans specializing in ceramics, carpet weaving, jewelry making, wood carving, metalworking, pottery, embroidery, and national cuisine presented their traditional crafts to festival participants, introducing workshops and offering their crafts for sale.
The festival was held in 2022. declared within the framework of the CIS year of folk creativity and cultural heritage events.
The festival aimed to unite and elevate public recognition of cultural crafts, thereby promoting sustainable development and intercultural exchange.
The festival will continue annually, organized in different regions of Armenia.
The second International Crafts Festival will be held in Dilijan on July 20 and 21, 2024.
